BIRD'S FOOT TREFOIL - Lotus corniculatus (Seed - Packet 400mg.)
Perennial, 12-24 inches tall; aggressive legume, leaves with 3 leaflets, flowers yellow, resembling a bird's foot. Also called Bacon and Eggs, Bread and Butter etc. It makes a good ground cover or filler for a waste areas. If used in a lawn area and continually mowed, it will stay about 2 inches in height. This species is aggressive and should not be used where you cannot control it as it can crowd out desirable plants. It is prohibited/undesired in the following states: CA, IL, MN, MO, OR, TN, VA, WA, and WI.
