DUTCHMAN'S BREECHES - Dicentra cucullaria (Seed - Packet 300mg.)
This species is a true early spring bloomer, as soon as sun hits the woodland floor. It's common name comes from the v-shaped puffy petals that make it look like a pair of bloomers hanging upside down. A true garden lover's delight! Blooms first thing April, May. 12 inches in height. This plant has been used by early native americans but not that this plant may be toxic and cause contact dermatitis in some people. SHADE/WOODLAND
