Ground Cherry Pineapple (Net. Wt. 100mg) Matures in 67 days from setting out transplants. As a member of the tomato family, ground cherries are not cherries at all, but the golden cherry sized fruit of a vine native to eastern Europe and the Americas. Each fruit is incased in a papery husk with a flavor reminiscent of tropical fruit, pineapple, apricot and vanilla with a little tomato mixed in! The vines are light weight but sprawling and benefit from support. Each plant will produce 100's of fruits to enjoy fresh, made into salad, cooked or preserved.
